Bears, and other animals that hibernate, eat large amounts of food during the summer to store energy for the winter. What macromolecule stores this energy? What is the advantage of storing energy in this molecule?

Respuesta :

Answer:

Lipids

Explanation:

Lipids serve as sources of energy, like corbohydrates and fats but these compounds contain different capacities for energy storage.

ok so energy is stored in the bonds of the ATP molecule( its like sugar and a whole buncha other stuff) . this is short term though. Once this molecule is broken down it becomes ADP which is starches and fats, energy is released! this is what animals that hibernate are most commonly known to use for the winter. the advantage of storing in this molecule is longer lasting energy!
