independent variable is when u have a variable and it stands alone, and is changed or controlled in a experiment. (the liquid used to measure a plant) The dependent variable is the what u are measuring(height, time) . The dependent caribe is depending on the independent variable! The difference is that fact that independent variable dosent need anything to determine the correct answer and dependent dose. they also stand for different things.
it’s important for scientist to publish a description of procedures along with results because it shows how the scientist came up with the results, and shows they were just saying what they thought was right , they have proof, and can go back and explain how the procedures correlate with the data/ results.
