Bayanihan is the spirit of communal cooperation and togetherness typical of the Filipinos who come to help a neighbor who is moving to another place. They come together in large numbers and help the family carry their movable houses on logs of wood to the place where they wish to relocate to. In my community, there are traditions that warrant cooperation.

For example, when a female sibling was getting married, the mothers in the community came together to help organize the event and especially help with the cooking. The men take care of other stressful logistics. All these are done to ensure a successful occasion for the bride. This is an instance of communal cooperation such as is found in the Filipino tradition.
