African Bushmen tend to let the women do housework while the men do the farm or a job. Even though these two groups may be similar or different in certain things, they also had similar and different components to their creation myths. Initially the African Bushmen and the Iroquois have different components to their creation myths. To start, the African Bushmen believe that before people lived on the face of the Earth, they lived underground. On the other hand the Iroquois believed we inhabited in the sky with the clouds. The African Bushmen also believed that there was a person that created humans, Kaang, while the Iroquois creation myth doesn’t tell us. Another difference is that A.B. thought humans brought the bad through fire, while Iroquois believed that flint brought all of the bad in to the world.

Not only are the African Bushmen and Iroquois different, they are also very similar. First off, both of the creation stories state that there is no sun. Instead they get their light from a different source. Both of these people also respected animals for the most part. In each one both humans and animals had a special bond.
