If the chloroplasts in the cells of a plant become damaged, the plant will not be able to manufacture it's food. It will wither and eventually die.

During photosynthesis, the chlorophyll, which is the photosynthetic pigment found in chloroplast, helps in capturing solar energy. This solar energy is then converted to chemical energy in form of sugars, which serves as food for plants.
In essence, it implies that if the chloroplasts are damaged in the cells of a plant, the plant would not be able to conduct photosynthesis. It can be liken to a man starving without food. The result would be emaciation and eventually death.
Therefore, the plant would wither and die if the chromoplasts in its cells became damaged.
