In "A Cub Pilot", Mr. Bixby advises the narrator to never let anybody else shake his confidence in himself. This is an example of B. falling action.
The falling action comes after the climax which is the resolution of the conflict and the turning point of the story. When the narrator is left alone by the pilot he doubts his knowledge and asks for help although he knew the crossing perfectly well. After that Mr. Bixby advises him to never let anybody else shake his confidence in himself.
