They were promised new lands in the west where they would be protected from land-hungry homesteaders which in migration is considered as a pull factor in migration .Migration is a global phenomenon which is caused by economic and social political, cultural, environmental, health, education and transportation factors. Pull factors in migration are the positive aspects that attract immigrants .They include better education and job prospects,political stability and religious freedom.
