You must show them that their parenting is positively helping you succeed, by earning good grades, forming healthy relationships with those around you and respecting others. When you turn 18 years of age and are no longer under their legal authority, you should respect and appreciate all of what they deserve to be appreciated of as you come into your own experience as an adult.
