Answer:

I agree with that statement.

Explanation:

In social studies, Public awareness refers to having a general understanding on various social issues that might affect different groups within our society. Having this awareness will have the following effects:

-It will help us gain sympathy to the hardships that are experienced by other social group.

Often times, people who are not directly experiencing things such as discrimination wouldn't be able to relate to the people who do. Developing a public awareness will bypass this ignorance and help people develop better understanding on such social issues.

- it will help educate younger generation to develop understanding over these issues too.

Cultural ignorance tend to be passed from one generation to another. For example, a racist parents will most likely put a lot of racist ideas when they're educating their children. As a result, they might grow up with similar views as their parents. Having a public awareness will prevent this from happening by fixing the adults beforehand.

- It will help us track the source of the social issues.

Public awareness will help people analyze where some key issues that exist in society is originated from. Whether the source is institutional or cultural, We can't solve the issues if we don't know what causing it in the first place.

- It will help us create a solution.

People eventually need to realize that there is no solution that will be 100% perfect fit for all social groups. We'll have to understand the situation that each social group face and find  a middle ground for us to compromise.
