The order of abundance from greatest to least in gases found in Earth's
atmosphere is nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide.
There are various gases present in the atmosphere such as nitrogen,
oxygen, carbon dioxide etc. Each of them have their important functions in
ensuring the ecosystem is balance and for survival of the organisms present.
The most abundant element is Nitrogen which accounts for about 78
percent of air. Oxygen is the second most abundant with 21 percent present
in air. Others such as carbon dioxide and inert gases represent the
remaining percentage present in air.
