In Egypt, they mostly ate easily found things such as bread and because water could be very scared, they drank a lot of milk from cows and goats. Not sure about dress property but as for housing, most of them lived in communities, in small houses made of some kind of clay and/ or dirt. Only boys/ men went to school while girls/ women looked for water, took care of daily house chores, and looked after men quit attending school, they usually went and joined the army or got a job such as stone carver, farmer, etc.
