Respuesta :

In the 1840  potato  famine in Ireland  that left many people with two choice they had: choice number one is to immigrate to America, choice number two is there to starve in Ireland  with no choice . A majority of the Irish  immigrants were settle in Boston  where the Irish population increased from 30,000 thousand  to more than 10, 000  of Irish people every year. The Irish were treated so poorly and badly as to compare to the Americans were treated fairly more than the Irish, of the treatment  of the German immigrants. The Irish  were   caricatured in the newspaper people thought  they could not read and write as there were drunks. The Boston 's an an servant to the race. Although more than 70 percent of the Boston families were domestics  were  Irish , many of the Irish  people seek for jobs  in any industry  were met by all signs said,"Irish need not apply".  I hope that help.

People migrated to the US for many reasons, one of which was to find religious freedom. In many other countries they will hold you to a specific religion, otherwise you had no freedom. Another reason people  migrated to the US is because where they were before there may have been poverty, in the US you have greater opportunity to prosper or at least make a livable income to sustain yourself. As for challenges immigrants and even refugees face many issues. An example is that Syrian refugees are in a war torn country with many terrorists ruling over them. Another major issue is that some immigrants illegal or not have trouble adapting to our society or even have trouble with English.
