First and foremost, they are completely different substances with each exhibiting unique properties. Both have different atoms involved on their structures which is the cause of the differing properties.
Lead refers to a chemical element with atomic number 82. It is a heavy metal, which is denser in comparison to the majority of the common substances. It is malleable and soft and also exhibits a comparatively low melting point. On the other hand, a plastic foam refers to a lightweight cellular form, used mainly as packing material or for insulation.
Lead is more resistant and heavier, while plastic foam is light and can easily be shattered. They both are completely distinct components with each possessing specific characteristics, and they both exhibit distinct textures. The main reason for their distinct characteristics is the difference in the atoms taking part in their compositions.
