556,638 newest ten thousand?
How would you do that? First is you know where ten thousand is, its at 56,638
lets just cancel the 5 hundred thousand so, then after that if right side number is higher than 5 than you round up but if it's lower than you round down. So,
since the right side is higher than 5, so 56,638 the 6 is higher than 5 so it has to be 560,000.
You can check if you arent sure!

Answer:

First of all, I think you meant nearest. Second of all, the answer is 560,000. The reason I know this is because of a rhyme, the rhyme says "Five or above, give it a shove. Four or below, let it go." and what that means is, if the number next to the number you are rounding to is a number between 5 and 9, round it up. On the other hand if the number is a number between 1 and 4, just put zeros after it instead of rounding it up and putting zeros behind it.
