Mao Zedong was the founder of the Chinese Communist Party (1935) and chairman of the People's Republic of China (1949-1959). He transformed China installing a Communist Government that later transformed to Socialism.
China was affected by the leadership of Mao Zedong because he installed the state as the owner of the Industry, he suppressed all forms of opposition in a violent form, he organized farmers into collectives and broke relations with the Soviet Union.
