This story relates to the lives of most new teachers in today’s economy. I can relate to this story because my cousin got her teaching degree as a high school teacher and the only job she could get was in Philadelphia at a public school. She hated it there but hoped for the best. She eventually quit and became a waitress because she made more money waitressing. I don’t think it is right that people with degrees could possibly make less money then a waitress and this directly relates to my point.
