"The Gift of the Magi" was a sad story about a couple at Christmas time. The woman had long beautiful hair that she cut off to buy a present for her husband. They couldn't use the gifts they exchanged, so their holiday was ruined.

Magi was a nice lady who cut her hair to succeed a good Christmas but it was a ruined Christmas.

“The Gift of the Magi” was a story about gift giving and love. A couple of two lived in poverty and weren’t able to afford luxuries. That is the reason why for Christmas the women sells her hair to buy her husband something for his watch and her husband ends up buying a comb for here now cut hair. The meaning of love while in poverty was explained throughout this story.
