When Stanley finds the rowboat way out on the lake, he thinks, "Someone may have drown here- at the same
spot where I could very well die of thirst." Explain how this is ironic. Then explain how this irony makes Stanley
feel.
Because too much water brought death and yet the lack of water too brings death. It would make him feel perplexed, saddened to know too much water caused someone death here and to little water could cause him death in the same spot. It would be a very depressing moment.
