Please help!!

Has anyone read the novel The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes? If so, can you please tell me what the main theme is about? I have already read a large portion of it and I can’t fully understand what the main theme is about since there’s a lot of events that take place throughout the story. Please help!!
