The Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798, the election of Democratic-Republican Thomas Jefferson in 1800, and the death of Alexander Hamilton in 1804 led to the decline and collapse of the Federalist Party.
The decline of federalism occurred due to a number of events which occurred during the Medieval era of the Middle Ages. Federalism was based on a division of land by the king to nibbles and vassals in return for their military service under the feudal levy.
