PLEASE HELP!!

I have a book club project to do, and I’m currently reading The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Can someone please tell me the main theme of the story? Like what is the book mainly talking about or what the entire story focuses on. I have already read a large portion of the book, but I still don’t fully understand what the main theme is about since there’s a lot of events that take place throughout the story. Please help if you can.
