- Car is going very slowly. Gear shifted to neutral or clutch pushed in. Car continues going forward even without power pushing it.
- You throw a ball forward. The ball keeps going after it leaves your hand. It accelerates downward, but continues going horizontally.
- You turn off a fan, it keeps spinning until it gradually slows down. (A little bit of friction slows it down.)
- Car turns sharply left. You feel pulled to the right. Your body’s trying to continue going in a straight line.
