Jackie Robinson was the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball. He was a first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Robinson played in the World Series six times before he retired. He received many awards throughout his career such as Rookie of the Year and the National League's Most Valuable Player. You can see Robinson in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame!
