Answer and Explanation:
Both articles show that Antartica is a land little explored by humans. This is because in addition to providing an inhospitable environment, Antartica is protected by a worldwide agreement that prevents exploration, but allows for scientific research and observations. Both also show that even without being explored, human behavior has reached Antarctica due to the problems caused by global warming.
After reading the two texts, I believe that the arguments presented in "The Last Wilderness Preserve" are stronger, in approaching human greed as the main enemy of Antartica, capable of overriding any rule or agreement when necessary .
The arguments about the impact on America could be as follows:
- The harmful and devastating impact of Global Warming and human avarice for resources.
Global Warming
Two of the given articles' authors lay emphasis on displaying how the land has been delved into and its destructive side effects.
Both of them display how the land has brutally been exploited and exhausted for numerous research and observations.
As a result of human greed and the increasing Global warming, Antarctica has badly been influenced by several problems. However, the argument in the latter is more directed and effective.
