What exactly does skew mean?

I'll draw the diagram in the comments.
They're asking me the following:

Which two line segments are skew?

o Line DE and line GE
oLine EI and line GK
o Line GK and DH
oLine HI and line DF

I looked up what skew means but they are giving me mixed definitions. So, can you help me out please?

Two parallel lines are skew if they are not parallel but are in different planes, which means that they will not intersect, in spite of they are not parallel.
