Respuesta :

why are there 2 -1/9? is one supposed to be positive?

if so the positive one is correct

To solve for this question :

Remember that the absolute value of either a positive and or a negative number will be positive.

|a| = a
|-a| = a

So, -|-1/9| = -(1/9) = -1/9.

I believe -1/9 is the answer, I used the circular brackets to show that I have already taken the absolute value of -1/9.
