Honestly you can just grab or do something that calms you like lets say if you like music? that can calm you a lot like in my opinion it helps a lot with my life problems and all but yeah basically just try and not think about it and not feel that sensation of fear in you take care. :)

I get frightened by thunder too But the thing I do is try to distract myself from thunder. You may be scared of the sound what I do is talk to someone I recommend you try this when a thunderstorm is happening. Hope this helped and have a nice day!
