2. Plants grow towards the light. Plant leaves bud and seeds germinate when the temperature is right. Their roots and stems grow in certain directions in response to the pull of gravity.

the spring, increased sunlight and warmer temperatures promote the

production of new leaves containing large amounts of chlorophyll, and
