What and when: From 1934 to 1939, the second new deal created more aggressive policies that helped the U.S recover from the Great Depression.
Cause: Some America’s did not feel that the social policies created in the new deal did enough so president Roosevelt went further
Effect: Additional policies were created to increase quality of life for workers and farmers
Significance: Many of the policies created in the second new deal are still active today, including social security.
