The debate has continued for many years about nuclear energy. There are advantages and disadvantages to the production of electricity through nuclear energy. Human safety and disposal of the radioactive waste top the list of disadvantages. Compared to the burning of fossil fuels, what advantage does nuclear power hold for the biosphere?

Answer:

One advantage I think of on the top of my head is that neclear energy makes much much less greenhouse gases then coal or oil, Another advantage is that  mining of uranium and other such elements is much less devastating to the environment than mining coal and you need much less radioactive elements to make the same amount of energy.
