Two mothers and two daughters come home from the mall. Yet when they arrive home, only three people get out of the car. How is this possible?

It’s a grandma, mom, and daughter. The grandma is the mother of the mom and the mom is the mother of the daughter. The mom is a daughter herself and she has a daughter.

So two moms = the grandma and the mom
And two daughters = the mom and daughter
