This is a tricky question since a lot of things happened on this day but here’s the answer I’m not sure tho

1. President Harry S. Truman proclaimed the unconditional surrender of Imperial Japan on August 14, 1945, bringing World War II to a close. On this date in 1900, international armies, including US Marines, stormed Beijing to put down the Boxer Rebellion, which sought to rid China of foreign influence.
