Answer: Let L be the length, w be the width and p be the perimeter of the rectangle.

p = 2L + 2w, A = Lw

p/2 = L + w

w = p/2 - L

Since A = Lw:

A = L(p/2 - L)

A = Lp/2 - L^2

2 X Length + Breadth
