Eboo Pastel convinces the readers of his blog  "Making the Future Better, Together" that the United States is truly a nation that highly cherishes its diversity.

  • He cites George Washington to have recognized that every hand should be on deck (all willing groups) in order to build a great nation.  He did not just preach this principle of a welcoming nation, he practiced it in his private life.

  • Patel also cited Washington to have denounced discrimination in the new nation (no bigotry, no persecution).  Each person's (religious, racial, etc.) identity would be respected.  Each person's freedom would be protected, and safety guaranteed.

  • The atmosphere that Washington desired is a nation where good relationships are maintained between citizens.  A U.S. citizen should relate cordially with neighbors.

  • Nobody should count their racial identity.  Martin Luther King, he also quoted, expressed similar reasoning and recognition in his speeches and struggles.

Thus, Patel profusely uses examples and evidence to convince readers of his blog that the United States is a nation of diversity with the highest regard for racial and religious, and other differences.
