Answer:

Answer 1Because they had very strong leaders throughout the Muslims.Answer 2This question is based on a fallacy, namely that "the" Muslim Empire maintained its power for a long time. This is not actually the case. There have been over 25 Muslim Empires that have each been in power for a few centuries, which was common for empires in that time period. The Rashidun Caliphate (630-660 CE) was replaced by the expansionist Umayyad Caliphate (660-750 CE) which deteriorated into separate Caliphates such as the Spanish Umayyads (750-1038 CE), the Idrissids (788-974 CE), the Aghlabids (800-950 CE) and the Abbassids (750-1258). The Abbassid Empire was perpetually losing territory.
