explain what the quote means. “I wanted to reap fame’s benefits without feeling like my life would become a video game of winning people over and seeking attention.” Another former influencer stated in her parting message: “I found myself drowning in the illusion. . . . Social media isn’t real. It’s purely contrived images and edited clips ranked against each other. It’s a system based on social approval, likes and dislikes, validation in views, success in followers . . . it’s perfectly orchestrated judgment. And it consumed me.”

Answer:

When you become a internet celebrity, every thing you do will become known. What you see from these social media stars isn't in most cases, isn't their actual life. When you become this big star, you want to get all the attention of everyone, you want people to see you, and if you don't you aren't famous. Some people get lost in fame, it just becomes their life at that point and it's hard for them to escape, that's the way I see it atleast.
