To appropriately apply the love for the mission of Fr. Palau in our present time, a student must consider if he or she has a divine mission to serve God in others.

- Fr. Palau later founded the Discalced Carmelites Order in the Catholic Church. Through this group, he was able to preach to many people, converting hearts and instituting a foundation that built hospitals for the sick.
- When there was an outbreak of typhus, Fr. Palau was called in to help. He did not refuse this call to serve God in the sick. At the hospital, helped the sick to recover. When the outbreak ended, he wanted to continue his mission but contacted pneumonia, from which he died shortly.
