Kater has 24 T-shirts.Kater has 8 fewer pairs of shoes than pairs of pants. If the number of T-shirts Kater has is double the number of pants he has,then how many pairs of shoes does he have???

s=p-8

solve

we can see
24=t=2p
24=2p
divide both sides by 2

s=p-8
s=12-8
s=4
