im 6 th grade it ch 4 lesson 2

Respuesta :

Americans have often prided themselves on their rich diversity. Nowhere was that diversity more evident in pre-Revolutionary America than in the MIDDLE COLONIES of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. European ethnic groups resulted for the movement of English, Swedes, Dutch, Germans, Scots-Irish and French lived in closer proximity than in any location on continental Europe. The came to American and landed in the Middle colonies searching for religious freedom

The middle colonies had more cultural diversity compared to New England.

  • The settlers in the middle colonies came from all over Europe.
  • Many of the settlers had different religions.
  • The presence of many religions showed a high degree of tolerance in the middle colonies, where settlers were allowed to practice their religion.
  • Some of the religious groups in the colonies were the Presbyterians, Quakers, Anglicans, Methodists, and the Dutch reformers.

Therefore we can conclude that the colonies showed tolerance in the colony that allowed all to live in harmony.
