The concentration of a solution refers to its macroscopic property, represents the amount of solute dissolved in a unit amount of solvent or of the solution, and can be expressed in a variety of ways such as qualitatively (dilute, concentrated) and quantitatively ( saturated, unsaturated.)

Concentration in chemistry refers to the amount of constituent present in the solution. Concentration term is used to refer the amount of solute and solvent present in the solution. Concentration can be expressed in terms of Molarity ( Molarity = number of moles of solute present in 1 litre or 1000ml of solution), Molality( moles of solute present in 1kg or 1000gram of solvent) and mole fraction (ratio number of moles of particular component to the number of moles of the solution).
