Transpiration is the process where water is removed from plants in the form of vapor. Water is released on the stoma which is located on the underside of the leaves. Looking at the figure, the letter that corresponds to the stoma is E.
Label E is from stomata. Stomata are minute openings or pores present on the epidermis of plants. These are generally present more on the lower side of the leaves. Stomata made up of two cells called guard cells. Guard cells contains chloroplasts for the photosynthesis. Opening and closing of the stomata is regulated by activity of guard cells. During transpiration water is lost in the form of water vapors through stomata.
