I don’t know if you need a specific answer, but I find the purpose of learning foreign languages is not only because of how useful it can be, but how fun it is.
It opens up a whole new world for you to explore especially if you plan to travel, and it can also be resourceful if foreigners come to an English speaking area and need assistance. You’ll also probably be very helpful in jobs because of this.
And it’s just a fun thing to do, and allows you new friends and conversations.
