It was unusual for the bell to ring at that time on that day. We were all really surprised & so was the teacher who stopped writing on the board. Suddenly, a man with a mask & a gun entered our classroom & shouted "Hands up everyone, or I'll shoot." We could hear screams from the other classrooms near us. All of use stood there trembling & not knowing what to do. Our teacher, Miss Daisy, dropped her marker & slowly put her hands up. Being too scared, we did the same too. We had no idea what was going on & what would happen to us. I remember my friend who sat next to me praying & wishing for the best. If it were some other day I would have teased her for being a scaredy-cat, but not today. After all, it was only last month that a similar situation took place in the 'Mireu Girls School'. Apparently a bomb had been planted there & about 40 girls were severely injured & 20 dead. Cases like these were rising in China & all the schools, teachers & students had been warned of happenings like this. We all stood there too shook to do anything else. Just then, the man lifted his mask off. What a surprise! It was our P.E.D sir! Even Miss Daisy looked surprised & relieved. He told "Don't be frightened kids. It's just me. We decided to hold a mock drill to see your reactions. Since cases like these are taking place a lot we'll be training you for that. Haha, I guess I gave all of you a good fright! You can all take the rest of the day off." We were all relieved & happy. Smiling & talking, we ran out of the room rushing towards the exits to tell our parents of the wonderful yet frightful day.
