2x  - y = 32    ------------(I)

2x + y = 60  ----------------(II)

Add the two equations. Thus y will be eliminated and we can find the value of x

(I)   2x - y = 32

(II)  2x + y = 60   {Now, add}

      4x      = 92

            x = 92/4

x = 23

Plugin x = 23 in equation (II)

2*23 + y = 60

  46  + y = 60

           y = 60 - 46

            y = 14

The numbers are 23 , 14
