A rectangular pool is 6 meters wide and 8 meters long. If you swim diagonally across the pool, how many meters would you be swimming?

Respuesta :

We use the Pythagorean theorem here to find the diagonal. 6^2+8^2=c^2 or the diagonal. We get 36+64=c^2 100=c^2. We take the square root of 100 to find c, or the diagonal, and get 10m
