does the thesis statement in a research paper include any personal opinions? or does the research paper thesis statement include the main point?

basically, what does a research paper thesis statement include?

I don’t think it includes opinions.. but I don’t know for sure

A thesis statement is a declarative sentence that defines the paper's point of view. This claim should be detailed as well as debatable. The thesis statement should often be at the conclusion of the first paragraph of your article. This thesis will be supported by the rest of your article.

It could include personal opinions in a way, but It needs to be thoroughly backed up enought ot prove your point to be true.

Example:

Cats are the best pet.

That can be an opinion, but if I could back it up enough then it could be the thesis statement.
