The open side of the inequality sign indicates the larger number. So 5 > 3, 4 < 6.

This, ≥, means it is bigger than or equal.

To show < or >, the purple arrow points to where the unknown value (x or n or k or b etc.) could be, and the dot is unfilled, or white, indicating that number is not a possible value of the unknown number.

To show ≤ or ≥, the purple arrow works the same way, it points to the where the unknown value could be. But the dot is filled, showing that the number could be the unknown value.

So for question 11, the answer is x ≤ 0 (x is less than or equal to zero).

For question 12, the answer is x > 3 (x is more than three)
