Clare paid 50% more for her notebook than Priya paid for hers. If Priya paid $5 how much did Clare pay? *

I think it is 55 am I correct ? or incorrect ?

Clare paid 50% more than Priya.

So, she paid as much as Priya paid, PLUS 50% of what Priya paid.

Priya paid $5.

50% of $5 is $2.50.

5 + 2.50 = 7.50

Clare paid $7.50.
