I do not think that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist because even though he fought the government, I think that he was just trying to help his country and the people of his country. It illustrates the difficulties in defining terrorism because sometimes what some people think is terrorism, other people think what they are doing is helping their country. I would define a terrorist as someone who is hurting people, not just strangers but people in their own community too.
