The polar bear is found in the Arctic, where the ice-covered waters are. They’re currently being affected by climate change, because the heat is warming up the ice twice as fast as it used to. The polar bears need the ice to raise their young, and to catch their main prey, seals. The outlook for polar bears are that by mid-century, they could dissapear from areas that include 2/3 of the world’s current population. Meaning that because of the global warning that happening right now, its possible that 40% of the ice caps will melt away.
